City of Ann Arbor

Kathy Kozachenko Bicentennial Statue

The City of Ann Arbor will be celebrating the community’s Bicentennial during the entire year of 2024. As part of that effort the City is undertaking a special recognition of former City Councilmember Kathy Kozachenko, the first openly gay or lesbian candidate in the United States of America to be elected to public office. In partnership with the City of Ann Arbor, the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor is accepting donations as a 501(c)(3) organization for the Kathy Kozachenko bicentennial statue that will be placed at Larcom City Hall. The City of Ann Arbor hopes to raise $100,000 to ensure the design, construction and deliveryof the statue by Statues of Equality. We will provide a receipt upon donation for use as a tax deductible contribution.
